Healing begins when you feel safe to be seen

Hello, and welcome. I’m Naveeda Haider, a psychotherapist and the founder of Wounded Mind Clinic, based in Islamabad. If you’re reading this, chances are you’re going through something difficult—and you’re searching for someone who can truly listen and walk alongside you in that process. I want you to know: I see you. And I’m glad you’re here.

Therapy isn’t just my profession—it’s my calling. For over 10 years, I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals, couples, and families navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and life’s many challenges. My mission is simple: to help people reconnect with their inner strength, process their pain, and move forward with clarity and self-compassion.

My Professional Background
I began my journey in psychology over a decade ago, driven by a deep curiosity about human emotion and the resilience of the human spirit. I hold a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology, along with advanced certifications in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Informed Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). I’m also continuously learning—because healing work evolves as we do. In my career, I’ve worked in clinical settings, educational institutions, and private practice. Each experience has shaped my belief that there is no “one right way” to heal—only the path that feels right to you.
My Therapy Approach
My style as a therapist is empathetic, collaborative, and grounded. I don’t sit across from you with a notepad and silence. I engage. I ask questions. I hold space for your story and gently guide you through it—with honesty, curiosity, and respect.
I primarily draw from:
CBT – to help you identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns
Person-Centered Therapy – to create a non-judgmental environment where you feel heard
Mindfulness & Somatic Practices – to reconnect you with your body and the present moment
Trauma-Informed Techniques – for gentle, safe exploration of difficult past experiences
But most importantly, I adapt my approach to you—not the other way around. Whether you're analytical, emotional, skeptical, or spiritual, we’ll work in a way that fits your personality and goals.

What I Believe About Therapy

Therapy isn’t about “fixing” you. You’re not broken.

It’s about helping you understand yourself, heal what hurts, and move forward with more clarity and self-acceptance.

You won’t be met with judgment here. You’ll be met with:

Patience — because healing isn’t linear

Presence — because we all need to be seen

Perspective — because sometimes we just need help seeing things differently

I believe that every person has an inner wisdom they may have forgotten or buried. Therapy is about gently uncovering it—at your pace, in your way.

Culturally Sensitive, Compassionate Care

As a therapist practicing in Pakistan, I understand how mental health is still a sensitive topic in many families and communities. I recognize the courage it takes to speak up and seek help—especially in a culture where emotional struggle is often minimized or misunderstood.

I offer culturally sensitive therapy that respects your beliefs, values, and background. Whether you’re navigating generational trauma, family expectations, religious conflict, or identity issues, we’ll explore them in a way that feels respectful, grounded, and empowering.
